Devotional Thought:

Advent is not just about looking back at “sweet Baby Jesus”, but also anticipating the amazing and terrifying Jesus of Revelation 19: King of King and Lord of Lords. Anticipating Jesus’ powerful and mighty return. Remembering Jesus’ first coming prepares us for His return. Amid finals, holiday plans, and life’s distractions, take time to reflect on what it means for Christ to reign in your heart today. Let this reflection grow anticipation for the day when He will make all things new. Come Lord Jesus, come.

Questions for Reflection:

1.)When you think of Jesus, what usually comes to mind. Read Revelation 19:11-16… how does this impact your image of Jesus?

2.) Are there distractions you need to set aside to focus on Him?

3.) How does the promise of Christ’s return impact how you live today?
