Jesus is from the beginning (1 John 1:1); He’s first, not only in sequence, but in preeminence. In order for that to be the case in our lives, we need to remove some things and replace those things with an up-close, personal, intimate relationship with Jesus Christ and His church.
As a church organization, one of the things we will replace is social media. We often associate outrage and anxiety with social media. It cripples and furthers the divide in us – racially, politically, and relationally. Jesus calls us to be peacemakers (Romans 12:16-18). As a church of Jesus Christ, we will make peace by refraining to contribute to the unhealthy components of the things that divide us.
We desire healthy marriages and healthy relationships, and we desire unity across ethnicities. We believe we can do these things by pulling back from social media and pressing in on things like relationships, justice and the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
WHAT WILL REPLACE OUR CHURCH’S SOCIAL MEDIA?
We will focus on the gathering of the church, in-person and online. Beginning September 27th, we are adding a second in-person Sunday service at 11:00am. You can join us and worship with the multi-ethnic family of Christ, wrapped around His glory.
We’re adding more Community Groups so we can provide you the opportunity to experience vital and authentic community.
We’ll provide scripture readings and Sabbath principles on our website to help you draw closer and closer to Jesus.
Our online services will continue streaming on our website and YouTube channel. You can join us online at 9:30am, 11:00am and 5:00pm – and be sure to talk in the comment section with our Online Engagement Team!

Alternatives to Social Media
Share photos over group text or in Groupme with some close friends and family
Have people over and update them on your exciting news
Print your favorite filtered photos and hang them in your hallway
Pick up a book: for many of us, social media is not only habitual, but also muscle-memory when we pick up our phones. Pick up a book like Ruthless Elimination of Hurry to dive even deeper into rest, Sabbath and the joy found in Jesus.
Host a dinner or game night with friends from PBC or your Community Group.
