We have some incredible servant leaders at PBC. One of them is our executive admin, Amy Jaeger. Amy recently came on in a part-time role and has already made a huge impact in the weekly operations of PBC. Get to know some of her story and say Hi when you see her!
Where are you from?
I was born and raised in a small town in Northeastern Missouri called Kirksville.
What brought you to Arizona?
My husband goes to a medical school in Missouri that sends its students out to different cities for their rotations.  He had the choice of where he would like to go and left it up to me to pick which city I would like to live in. We were both ready for an adventure, and I love mountains and being warm so Phoenix was an easy choice!
Tell us about your family.
I am the middle of five kids.  My dad is a pastor in a non-denominational church and my mom was a stay-at-home, homeschooling mom.  We are all very close and I consider my siblings to be some of my best friends. I’m trying to convince them one-by-one to move to Arizona!
What do you like to do for fun?
I love playing tennis, hiking, drawing, and traveling.
What is your favorite part of your work at the church?
As the admin assistant, there are a lot of small pieces that I help coordinate. I love seeing when the small tasks come together to make something impactful happen for an individual or for the church as a whole.
What excites you about the future of PBC?
When my husband and I first started coming to PBC, we were struck by how genuinely and purposefully the small congregation of people loved and served each other and the community.  It’s exciting to think about God impacting more and more people in the city the same way we were impacted through PBC.
